Exploring the Priwall Peninsula
For those of you who are visiting Priwall for the first time, we have compiled interesting facts and lots of helpful information. But also real Priwall fans will get one or the other new impulse here, because the peninsula is very diverse!
Priwall: beach, dune landscape and a modern promenade
The Priwall peninsula stands for nature experience and lifestyle by the sea. What the Priwall has to do with the GDR and why you should have some change with you, you can read here!
1. Priwall and Brodten belong as districts to the Lübeck district of Travemünde. The peninsula offers a beautiful view of the old town of Travemünde.
2. There is no bridge here, which means that if you want to use the ferry Priwall-Travemünde you should have some small change ready (single person 1,90 €, bicycle 1,10 € – as of 01.01.2023).
3. Until 1990 a short piece of the Priwall belonged to the GDR and formed the northernmost part of the inner-German border.
4. Priwall is especially known and popular for its unspoiled, natural, white sandy beach.
5. Tip for nature lovers: the paths and trails through the nature reserve on the southern Priwall along the Pötenitzer Wiek invite you to exercise and explore in the fresh air.

Are you looking for barrier-free accommodation and traveling with a dog?
Our vacation apartments Bootssteg (4 persons), Hafeneck (5 persons) and Sonnendeck (4 persons) on Priwall are barrier-free.
On Priwall, the dog beach is less than 10 minutes walk from all apartments.
The Sonnendeck and Bootssteg apartments each have a nice terrace – so you can enjoy a hearty breakfast in the kitchen/living room or on the terrace.
In Travemünde the two dog beaches at the Brodtner Ufer (area Söhrmanndamm, the first 100 m behind the former bathing establishment Mövenstein) and on the peninsula Priwall (Südermole, the first 100 m from the ferry pier) invite you during the bathing season from May 15 to September 14 to swim, dig and play together.

Spa tax Travemünde / Priwall:

➡️ 01.01. – 14.05. and 15.09. – 31.12.: 1,60 €
The payment of the visitor’s tax or beach fee in the Ostseeheilbad Travemünde is obligatory.
Please note: The beach fee is already included in the spa tax.

Purpose of collection:
The fees are used to maintain our beautiful spa. With the help of the revenue, among other things, the maintenance of the great spa beach, green spaces, paths, squares, promenades, events, etc.) can be financed.
